Lt Col (Ret.) Mitchell Walrod is the Executive Assistant at Genesis Systems and a member of the Finance Advisory Committee.  Mitchell has a wide range of military and civilian work experience, which has developed him into a highly effective leader and team member.

Mitchell graduated from Central Missouri State University with a BS in Aviation Technology with a heavy emphasis in mechanical engineering. Following graduation, Mitchell commissioned and became a pilot in the United States Air Force.   

Throughout Lt Col Walrod’s diverse military career, a passion for teaching and enabling mission success intensified. Assignment highlights included instructing and evaluating aviators in multiple aircraft types; Fighter pilot liaison to the Canadian Forces; Air Liaison Officer to US Army in Europe teaching NATO troops; seven deployments and nearly 1800 hours of combat aviation in F-111, F-15, and MQ-1 type aircraft. Mitchell led the 206-member team responsible for the majority of MQ-1/9 launches and recoveries during his time in Afghanistan. Mitchell emerged from the Air Force a subject matter expert in all facets of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operations, simulation, and training programs.

Upon retirement from military service in December of 2011, Mitchell and his family moved to Missouri where he has continued to expand his breadth of knowledge and life experience as a business owner, property owner/manager, college student, and adjunct professor. Mitchell has an MS in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Mitch resides with his wife, Marianne, in Ozark, Missouri.  They have three sons.
