Herschel transitioned to the business world from the United States Air Force where he worked as an intelligence analyst. During his work in the intelligence community, he was directly responsible for missions directed by the President of the United States. His professional expertise includes public speaking, intelligence gathering, policy design, program implementation, research data and analysis, and training and development.
He holds a Master's Certificate in Intelligence Studies, MA in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University, and a B.S. in History from the University of Southern Illinois (Carbondale). Herschel has received Executive Leadership and Leading High Performance Teams Certificates from Cornell University. He is also a Ronald Reagan Research Fellow at the American Leadership and Policy Foundation where he has helped author research on critical infrastructure that has had a national impact.
